My Second Happy Birthday goes to the best friend a girl could ask for!! Today is my BFF of 18 years, Sandy Kadir's 25th Birthday! Happy 1/4 of a cenury birthday to you!!
It amazes me how close we still are after all this time. We haven't lived in the same town together since high school (7 years ago) and every time we see eachother we are more alike then the last time!! Last summer on June 20th she married an awesome guy and her long time boyfriend and we celebrated the funniest wedding I had ever been too. One of her other bridesmaids who I had never met before told me how much she couldn't believe how alike Sandy and I were. She said from the way we talked, laughed, smiled and acted it was like we were twins!! We always have such a fun time when we are together, laughing at old memories and making new ones, but one thing that never fails is Whenever we get together we end up with tummy aches from rolling on the ground with laughter. I'm so lucky to have such a great friend to share my life with!!

Random Stuff

Its 11:00 am and my baby is still sleeping so I figured that I would catch up on some blogging and fill ya all in on our lives lately. So lets see....

We had a GREAT Christmas.....Haylen got spoiled....and of course I did too. It was so much fun having a baby around for Christmas, we were opening gift after gift after gift.....it was almost to much......Na who am I kidding, I love being spoiled and seeing my little boy spoiled too. Haylen got TONS of toys and clothes...which I'm not sure I like all these toys cluttering my house up, so I have already shipped some off to grandma and papa's for him to have over there!! (sneaky I know!) My favorite thing I got him were a FLAMES Jersey....woo hoo....and a little onsies that I designed myself. Its black with a little dirt biker on the front and it says his last name across the back...its awesome!!....Yup I am the coolest mommy ever, I know!! Oh and I must mention that I LOVE my gift from Ryan, he got me the Cricut and its the best thing ever...I can't wait to get back into scrap booking and tear that thing up!! We also got a new printer, t.v. and computer (sorry no pictures this post, I'm not sure how to upload them onto this new computer yet...but soon, I promise!)

While going home for Christmas, we got to spend some really fun times with our family, and Haylen got to met alot of special people. The best part of our trip home was for Haylen to meet his great grandma Ruth (my Grammy) and his great, great grandpa Ken (Ryan's Great Grandpa!) who is 97 years old!!! It was so special to see them together, Grandpa Ken was SO Proud to have a great great grandson. As was my grandma to met my little guy.

In Haylen news....He's now 15 Weeks old and has a few new tricks.

1)He pulls his soother outta his mouth and gets mad at me...... he tries to put it back in by himself now and its so funny....after struggling for a bit, poking himself in the eyes, ears, and nose, he eventually finds his mouth!!

2)He pulls his hair and gets mad at me.....He doesn't realize that he is the one hurting himself, so he had his first haircut booked for Friday....yes, 3 months old and already needs a haircut......... I have an shaggy monkey for a son.

3)He likes tummy time now, and holds his head up very very well while on his tummy.

4) He wakes up every 2 hours in the night now.....yes, every 2 hours.....ugh my baby started sleeping 7 hours straight at night when he was 7 weeks old, and did that for about a month and a half, and now he's up every 2 hours......what the heck eh?!?! Well because of this I tried feeding him some rice cereal thinking that maybe he wasn't getting enough milk from me (I'm only breastfeeding him) and well since I started feeding him that he is sleeping for 3 hours at a time....better then 2 I guess. So we will see if this really does help or not. I'm not a big fan of feeding him the rice cereal so early, I only wanted to nurse him until he was 6 months....but if he's still hungry and needs more I'm not gonna starve the poor little man. If Anybody has any other suggestions as to why he may be waking up more, I would love to hear them.

5) He sits in his bumbo and loves it now. Its so cute to see him looking around like such a big boy

Well that's about all that has been up with us!! We had a great time visiting everyone and enjoying the holidays but it's so nice to be back home and back into our routine!!

Tons of Christmas and other photos to come next post...promise!

What I Love

I know I've said it over and over again but I LOVE MY LITTLE BABY BOY!!! he's 2 months old now and is getting funner to play with every day and that makes me fall even more in love with him. The main things I love so much about Haylen are:
1. The way he melts my heart every time he smiles at me
2. His "good morning mommy" smiles when he wakes up....the best way to start a day
3. The way he thinks his mommy is so funny and smiles and laughs at everything I say
4. The way he wants his mommy just to hold him and snuggle him tight
5. How he loves his bath and slashes water everywhere
6. The way he snuggles at bedtime....and the way he smiles when he looks up and sees his mama looking down at him even if he is 99% asleep
7. That he sleep through the night
8. How he smiles when I ask him if I can have a kiss, cuz he knows one is coming
9. When he falls asleep on my chest ....nothing is more peaceful then snuggling a sleeping baby
10. The way he looks so dang cute in a toque ....or anything for that matter
11. How he thinks he is so funny when he farts and poops
12. How he is starting to play with toys and loves his playtime mat
13. His adorable little cheeks that are so soft and perfect for kissing
14. How I think about him every second of the day
15. The way he "tells mommy stories"
16. How he is so happy in the morning and loves to sit and talk
17. His cute little giggle
18. His crazy hair that is outta control
19. That everyone always tells me how much he looks like his daddy
20. That I know he loves his mommy and daddy so much
21. How unbelievably cute his is
22. That he is my little angel and my sweet little baby boy
23. How I look at him and my heart fills with love and my stomach with butterflies cuz I'm so proud to have him
24. How he made all my dreams come true the day I had him
25. THAT HE IS MINE TO KEEP FOREVER!!!

So Much To Say...

So much has happened lately where to even start... How about with how much I LOVE my little Haylen. I still can't believe that he is mine to keep forever. He is absolutely perfect and just when I think I couldn't possibly love him anymore, he smiles at me and melts my heart even more. The poor lil guy has been sick for the past three days with a cough, stuffy runny nose and sneezing. He was having a hard time eating and sleeping since he wass so stuffed up but he is finally feeling better. Today he was back to his normal happy smiley self, which was such a relief since he spend the past 2 days before today crying, crying, crying and crying....poor guy. Its been hard but between all the crying and screaming when he would look up at me and smile it made all the long days and sleepless nights all worth it. I'm just so glad that my little angel is feeling better and that he's back to his happy smiley self.

Some other very exciting news is we have a new nephew!!! Ryan's sister Samantha had Lucas Ryder on November 2nd, 2009 and we are enjoying every minute of him as well. I'm so excited for Haylen and Lucas to grow up together as cousins. Haylen has 6 other cousins on my side of the family but unfortunately we don't get to see them all the time since we live 8 hours away from them all. So for Haylen to get to see Lucas all the time is gonna be so much fun!! pictures of the handsome little fella to follow later.....

This year for Halloween I had a total lack of the Halloween Spirit, which is so weird for me because I LOVE Halloween as much as I love Christmas. It's so much fun to see all the creative costumes and to give out candy to cute little kids!! I couldn't find a costume small enough to fit Haylen so I ended up making him one, and I'm so glad that I did. He was supposed to be a Dalmatian, but the only fabric that I could find was more of a cow print...and Ryan kept calling him a cow so he ended up being a "cowmation"....lol... in the end Ryan won and I said he was a cow too....whatever he was he was the cutest little boy ever!! and I must say I did an awesome job making his costume it turned out to be so cute!!

One Month Old!!

I couldn't believe that my baby was 3 weeks old and now I really can't believe that he is already 1 month old!! Well its true, one month ago was the best, most amazing yet scariest day of our lives when we welcomed our sweet little baby Haylen into the world. It all started @ 8pm September 21 when we went to the hospital to get induced. I'm not to sure what the device is called that they used to induce me but they put it next to my cervix to bring on contractions then send me home. Well we were home for a while, and around 12:00 am I felt my first contractions. After pacing our house for a few hours, at 4:00 am the device fell out and we headed to the hospital and the fun began. At 7:00 am I was 3 cm dilated and having horrible back labour. I was able to endure it for a few more hours until I broke down around 4:00 pm and got an epidural....what a relief!! I'm telling you, all mom's out there who are considering weather or not to get an epidural....DO IT. I was trying to tough it out until I realized what am I doing....this is not a competition to see who's the strongest, so if there is something that can help relieve this back pain and the contractions then give it to me now!! Well that really helped with the pain cuz I was finally able to get some rest and got an hour sleep. Well when I woke up I was having full blown contractions and dilated from 6 to 10 and that was when the problems began. Because I had dilated so fast baby did not have time to turn his head into "head down" position and his head ended up staying turned to the right. Well I was very very very against having a c-section, so the doctor thought if we waited it out maybe his head would turn and I would be able to deliver him normally. Well the next 4 or 5 hours were very intense as I endured contrations in the hopes of baby turning his head. Well around 8:00 my doctor suggested that I try pushing again in hopes of his head getting turned. After pushing for 2 hours, still no luck.....and off to the operating room we went. Well once we got in there and all prepped for surgery we ran into our next problem....I wouldn't freeze....for some reason after all the drugs they kept putting into me, it wasn't enough to freeze me off so they could cut....If they put any more freezing in then I ran the risk of stopping breathing so the only thing they could do is put me under. Well Ryan had to leave the room and he said he left, got the waiting room, and 2 minutes later heard Haylen crying!! Well that should be the end to a happy story, but it doesn't end there...... Since baby was so far dropped after pushing, that when they were doing the c-section, and reached in to grab him, when they pulled him out the vein between my bladder and kidney snapped and I bleed out like crazy. After loosing 1/2 of my blood in the operating room they were finally able to control the bleeding and stitch me back up.....end of story....no....they then tell Ryan that when they clamped my vein to stop the bleeding they 'may' have clamped it to tight and if so they have to rush me to the city for emergency surgery to fix that in the morning.... Well after having an ultrasound the next morning we were given good news that everything looked good between my kidney and bladder, I will just have 4 staples that will stay in me forever!! I was wheeled back to my room and when I woke up I was completely outta it....and I mean COMPLETELY outta it....apparently I'm "narcotics sensitive" as the doctors called it, and really I didn't even know my own name for the first few hours after surgery!! lol Ryan brought Haylen over to me to show me him for the first time and over and over and over all I could say is "He's so perfect, I can't believe he's our baby!" lol, Ryan said I must have said it probably 50 times at least! haha. Well thanks goodness that Haylen was a perfectly healthy little boy who knew what he was doing with breast feeding, cuz the first time that I fed him I don't even remember. The next day I spent receiving 2 blood transfusions and recovering while enjoying my sweet little baby boy, laughing while Ryan told me all the ridiculous things I was saying and doing until the drugs from surgery wore off! Well to wrap it up on September 22 at 11:12 pm we welcomed our little 7 lbs 9 oz, 21 1/2 inch long perfect little Haylen into our lives and this past month we couldn't been any happier!
